ADMINISTRATION

BILLING COORDINATOR

 

The candidate for this position must have knowledge of third party, Medicare, MaineCare billing and collection procedures.  Knowledge in the area of Mental Health billing is a plus.  Excellent oral and written communication skills are required, as this position requires a high level of customer service in the handling and problem solving of billing issues.

 

The Billing Coordinator reports to the Finance Director and is responsible for entry of clinical services, electronic and paper submission of claims, payment posting of EOBs as well as research of denials.  The Billing Coordinator must be able to perform with a high degree of accuracy and productivity.  An ideal candidate for this position would have an Associate degree in accounting as it is a requirement within the finance team to cross-train for other duties and responsibilities within the department.

 

Qualifications:

Minimum of an Associate degree in Accounting/Business as well as 2 years previous patient accounting experience is required.  Other qualifications include the knowledge of third party billing procedures, familiarity with computerized billing, must be detail oriented, solid administrative and organizational skills.

 

ACCOUNTANT-PAYABLES

 

The Accounts Payable Accountant is an integral part of the financial services team and will be responsible for maintaining the Agency’s payables function. The A/P Accountant prepares daily and weekly check runs from several cash accounts. This position also prepares various schedules and general journal entries necessary to close month end such as depreciation, contract revenues, prepaid accruals and expense allocations.  This position provides support and assistance in the accounts receivable function.

 

Qualifications

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent organizational skills within a professional business setting.  Possession of an associate’s degree in accounting or other business-related field and the equivalent of one to three years experience in accounting with an emphasis on accounts payable is preferred.  Knowledge of not-for-profit accounting and/or accounts receivable is beneficial. A strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is required.

 

 

SUPPORTED LIVING
Mental Health Support Specialist

(Full time and Relief  positions available in Augusta,

Part-Time in Waterville)

 

The Mental Health Support Specialist (MHSS) will work with people who are recovering from mental illness and receive either residential or supported living services in the community of their choice.  This paraprofessional work includes providing support, assistance and training in areas of daily living, communication, socialization, recreation, management of behavior, educational approaches to mental health rehabilitation and maintenance of health and safety.

 

Minimum qualifications/requirements are a High School diploma or G.E.D.; at least 18 years of age; ability to establish boundaries and interact effectively with people; experience with people with mental illness and/or MHRT I certification.  A valid Maine driver’s license and reliable transportation are also required.

JANITORIAL SERVICES
Janitorial Worker 

We are looking for an individual experienced in all aspects of janitorial work and able to work independently, as well as with a team.  This is a part-time position performing duties in a commercial custodial environment.  This work site has an excellent working and supervised environment.  Persons with disabilities are encouraged to apply.

The selected candidate must be able to travel independently to work sites and meetings.  Must have a valid Maine driver’s license and needs to have knowledge of safe work practices.  Must be able to follow a structured cleaning plan/work list specific to each individual location.  Will need to pass a background check.
